Basic Care for Your IT Europe Pieces

IT Europe pieces are created with a lot of love, attention to detail, and often with artisanal work that makes each item unique and special. Therefore, to ensure that your pieces remain beautiful and well-preserved for much longer, it is essential to follow some specific care instructions.

Here are some tips for properly caring for your garments and accessories:

1. Wash with Care
Washing pieces from our collection requires attention to keep the artisanal work and special materials intact. Here are some guidelines:

  • Hand wash whenever possible, using cold or lukewarm water (never hot).
  • Use neutral soap or mild detergent to avoid damaging fibers and embroidery.
  • Avoid fabric softeners and bleaches, as they can alter colors and damage the details of the pieces.
  • Do not wring the pieces, especially those with embroidery, macramé, or other handcrafted elements. Pressure can damage the manual work.
  • Dry in the shade. Avoid direct sun exposure for long periods, as this can fade colors and damage the fabric.

2. Proper Storage
How you store your pieces also influences their durability:

  • Store your beachwear, bikinis, and beach cover-ups in dry, ventilated places, away from excessive heat sources or humidity.
  • Hang carefully: if you need to hang the pieces, use padded hangers to prevent them from deforming, especially those with delicate embroidery or details.
  • If you are going to store them for a long period, it is recommended to fold them carefully and store them in fabric bags or packaging that allows ventilation.

3. Special Care for Handcrafted Pieces
Pieces that include embroidery, macramé, and other handmade details deserve extra care to prevent their manual finishes from deteriorating:

  • Avoid excessive rubbing: as embroidery is made with delicate threads, avoid contact with rough surfaces that could wear out the pieces.
  • If possible, keep the piece in its original packaging or in fabric bags to preserve the shape and integrity of the handcrafted details.
  • If macramé or embroidery comes into contact with moisture, do not let it dry directly in the sun. Dry it in the shade, gently stretching the piece to maintain its shape.

4. Avoid Chemical Products
Some chemical products can affect the colors and texture of our pieces, especially the most delicate ones:

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, or other cosmetic products, as they can stain or alter the color of fabrics and embroidery.
  • Be careful with seawater and pool water: although beach pieces are made to withstand the marine environment, saltwater and chlorine can wear out the fabric and affect delicate details. After use, rinse the pieces with fresh water.

5. Bikini and Swimsuit Care

  • After wearing them at the beach or pool, immediately rinse bikinis and swimsuits with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and chlorine.
  • Do not store wet pieces for a long time. If possible, dry them quickly in the shade, without exposing them directly to the sun.
  • Avoid contact with rough surfaces, such as rocks or cement, to avoid damaging the fabric or details.

6. Avoid Overloading
Although our pieces are designed to be comfortable and functional, avoid carrying excessive weight in bags or beach cover-ups that contain embroidery or macramé, as the weight can deform the details.

7. Advice and Repairs
If you notice any damage to your piece, such as loose threads or embroidery that needs adjustment, please contact us. We offer repair and maintenance services to ensure that your pieces remain beautiful and functional for much longer.

Extra Tip: By caring for your pieces lovingly, you preserve not only their beauty but also the artisanal soul that is part of every IT Europe product.
